The Ethio-Eritrean Women’s Support Organization officially launched its winter season women’s empowerment training program last Thursday, continuing its fall season initiative. The free virtual training sessions are scheduled to take place every Thursday at 8:00 p.m. and are open to women in the diaspora.
The winter program began with a focus on mental health, recognizing it as a vital component of overall well-being, particularly for women living abroad. More than 20 participants attended the inaugural session, which was led by experienced trainers who shared both professional expertise and lived experience. The session featured active participation, with attendees engaging in open discussions about personal challenges and effective coping strategies.
An invited mental health professional also joined the training, offering valuable insights and practical guidance that enriched the discussion. Due to the breadth and importance of the topic, mental health will continue to be addressed in upcoming sessions.
In addition to mental health, the winter season training program is expected to cover a wide range of topics aimed at empowering women. These include self-care, time management, parenting and co-parenting, job readiness, financial education, and the use of artificial intelligence and modern technology.
The Ethio-Eritrean Women’s Support Organization continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting and empowering women through accessible educational opportunities and community engagement.
